Tahitian Lime – Citrus (Grafted)
Juicy, seedless limes for drinks, cooking and everything in between.
Tahitian is New Zealand’s go-to lime for home gardens. It bears generous crops of medium-sized, seedless fruit with juicy, fragrant flesh and a classic zesty lime flavour. Use the limes in drinks, cocktails, Asian and Mexican cooking, dressings, marinades and desserts. Pick them green for the sharpest flavour, or leave them until they turn pale yellow for extra juice.
This tree is grafted onto disease-resistant rootstock for strong, healthy growth and earlier cropping. It’s supplied at a well-established height of approximately 80–90 cm, ready to plant out.
Features
- Seedless, very juicy fruit with a true lime flavour

- Nearly thornless, upright, bushy habit
- Grafted for vigour and disease resistance
Size: Supplied at approx. 80–90 cm tall. Grows to around 3 m high × 2 m wide in the garden and can be pruned to keep it compact. It’s well suited to large containers.
Growing tips: Plant in a warm, sunny, sheltered spot in free-draining soil. Limes are more frost-tender than lemons, so protect young trees from frost in cooler areas. Water more in summer and less during wet months. Feed with a citrus fertiliser in spring and late summer.
